My favourite essential oils

Hello darlings and welcome back to my blog! Today's post is about Essential Oils. Essential oils are like little treasures to keep at home.  They have been used for centuries for medicinal and health purposes by various cultures all over the world.

Today's essential oil use is dealt with different fields, such as aromatherapy , beauty/health care and also house cleaning. I personally love using essential oils in my life everyday, mostly in aromatherapy.

I bought an Ultrasound essential oil diffuser and I am basically using it each day of the week.

One of my favourites is lavender essential oil which is well known for its ability to eliminate nervous tension, relieve pain, disinfect the scalp and skin, enhance blood circulation and treat respiratory problems.  My favourite use of lavender essential oil is the one of insect repellent : I switch on my diffuser and lavender does all the job and at the same time the scent relieves my tension and my stress.

Another essential oil I often use is tree tea oil, a potent disinfectant with anti-microbial properties, in different occasions: it's an amazing as a natural and organic detergent to clean the house or to add to your laundry detergent for an anti microbial action .

In beauty care I use it to treat some pimples: I just need need a drop of tea tree oil on a q-tip and I apply that on the area. You will be surprised with the result; the pimple will literally dry and disappear after few hours.  The best moment to do this treatment is before going to bed. Tea tree oil is also very good on mosquito bites, you just need a couple of drops on the area and the itchiness will calm down. Tea tree oil is one of the very few essential oils that can be used directly on the skin, in fact most essential oils are to be diluted in "vector" oils ( the most used is sweet almond oil)  to be applied on the skin.

I hope this post was helpful, leave a comment  on this post and let me know about your opinions and experiences with essential oils. Don't forget to check  my YouTube Channel and support me by subscribing. Thank you very much for stopping by.

Summer Make Up Look: Purple Eyes

Hello lovelies and welcome back to my blog! I have been away for so long, I have been crazy busy because I moved  out of Sicily and I had to settle down and start a new life in a new city. So many things to take care of, so little time and I must say I've definately missed my beauty world. The last Video  I uploaded on YouTube is about purple eye makeup. Purple is one of my favourite colours, not just in make up but ,generally speaking , is one of those colours I identify myself with. It surely flatters brunettes very nicely, especially green/brown eyed people. The look I did was pretty simple.

I wanted to use a light weight foundation like Perfection lumiere velvet  by Chanel because it's very hot and during summer time I want my skin not to feel heavy , which is a feeling I  can easily achieve with this foundation. It's a  light to medium  coverage product that you can build up if you need to.

As a concealer I used my favourite one which is the Rimmel London match perfection concealer: very light and luminous. Of course I needed an eye primer; the one I am currently using quite often is the urban decay anti aging primer potion. I have hooded eyes ( as you might have noticed) and oily lids , so when I'm using different colours or intense eyeshadows I need a primer.

As eyeshadows I used Wycon Cosmetics ones. This brand does incredible products, especially their eyeshadows are some of my favourites, on a very affordable price. This time I used a stick one and a baked eyeshadow palette.

I also used a couple of Benecos products, an eyeshadow and a blush, which are organic and also very affordable. One of my favorite mascaras is the L'Oréal Million de cils, very light wear, separating and buildable without clumping. During summer time I wear lip pencils very much , so I chose the lovely red diva by Rimmel London which is super pigmented and long lasting. Kiko does lovely highlighters,  the used I used is a stick one which was defiantly inexpensive and high quality, it's long lasting and it's not greasy which is good because some highlighters tend to emphasize large pores which can be quite a  problem for women with problematic skin.
That was one of my favourite looks, a perfect look for this period of the year: colourful and fresh. I hope you liked it!

Wycon Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick Review!

Hello lovelies and welcome back to my blog!

Today I am going to talk about a bright long lasting lipstick which I am loving: the  Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick by Wycon Cosmetics. I used it on my Spring Make up Video on my YouTube Channel.

It's a mat ,super long lasting lipstick, it's very comfortable to wear, it doesn't feel drying and it does last up to 8 hours without retouching it. I tried it also on a dinner occasion and it resisted brilliantly throughout the dinner. This product is very affordable ( 6,90) and its quality is comparable to other high street lipsticks. In my Spring Video I am using the fuchsia shade (n. 10), which is a lovely vibrant colour.

Henna Talk with Daniela Maryam

Hello darlings!
Welcome back to my blog :)

Today I am sharing with you my experience with Henna.
I discovered Henna as a hair dye when I was 19. I was at a drugstore and I saw that "mysterious" hair dye for the first time.
In Italy Henna is not part of our culture  and it wasn't definitely widespread at all back then. I gave it a try and I remember I was so happy with the results! My hair was looking so red and shiny, healthy and strong. I used the red henna , "lawsonia inermis", which gave me a lovely reddish shade on my brown base.
I used henna for a few years and then I went into chemical dyes again! Big mistake! In fact my hair got damaged after some time, I got split ends, fizzyness, even if I was using excellent products for my haircare. So I decided to do henna again and my hair was looking amazing again.!

To hear more about my experience, please check my VIDEO on youtube and leave me a comment!

Daniela Maryam Beauty

Hello lovelies and welcome to my blog.
This is going to be my first post in English. I started writing my beauty blog last year, as a way of sharing  makeup and beauty tips. I recently started a YouTube Channel in English and Arabic, so I thought that it would be good to write posts on this blog in English, not in Italian anymore. I have been very busy in the last few months and I haven't been writing posts for some time, but hopefully I will have more time to myself to sit down and have some makeup talk with you :)
Speak soon,
